Audi VR Explorer with Oculus Rift.

 

On behalf of Audi, we were asked to use our creative retail design expertise to deliver their interactive e-ton experiential store at Westfield, Stratford. The store showcases the A3 Sportback e-tron to shoppers in readiness for the national roll out of this recently crowned 2015 What Car? Electric Car of the Year at Audi Centres across the UK from 17 January 2015.

We designed, storyboarded and directed an action loaded presentation of the new Audi e-tron on Oculus Rift-Technology at a pop up Audi store at Westfield Stratford Working closely with 3D specialists UNITY, we used the powerful Oculus technology to develop an immersive and captivating experience allowing the user to explore the car from the passenger seat with 360 video, while a driver races through several environments showing off the e-tron’s key features. We worked closely developing the powerful Oculus technology to elevate the users experience where they can investigate the interior, watch the driver, or simply gaze wistfully out of the window. The design and video team spent hours tweaking individual key moments within the immersive 360 video to heighten the senses across every moment of the captivating adventure.

 

Utilising the latest 2D and 3D augmented reality, the full range of innovative technology that the versatile A3 Sportback e-tron has to offer is depicted through a suite of immersive digital platforms.

Customers can learn about the benefits of the four different drive modes available  on the A3 Sportback e-tron, as well as being able to configure their own bespoke model using the Audi Explorer App and Audi Mileage Tracker App. Additionally, the Audi connect app will enable owners of the car to control a variety of functions, such as the charging system via their smartphones.

The ground-breaking store compliments the cutting-edge performance of the A3 Sportback e-tron, which promotes mobility without compromise…and is the first electric car of any kind to be derived from a UK best-selling premium hatchback.

 

 

INTERACTIVE ZONES

Customers can learn about the benefits of the four different drive modes available (including an electric-only mode and a hybrid charging mode) on the A3 Sportback e-tron, as well as personally configure their own bespoke model using the Audi Explorer App and Audi Mileage Tracker App. Additionally, the Audi connect app will enable owners of the car to control a variety of functions, such as the charging system via their smartphones.

 

 

AUGMENTED REALITY featuring OCULUS RIFT

Utilising the latest 2D and 3D augmented reality, the full range of innovative technology that the versatile A3 Sportback e-tron has to offer is depicted through a suite of immersive digital platforms. We also managed the fitting of an “Oculus Rift” zone which sees three racing seats for customers to sit on and wear the wide-aspect head set. The interactive video thatplays to the user has the ability to immerse them into a fabulous e-tron  360 degree virtual reality.
