FC Bayern App brings fan murals to life
The real and digital worlds at the Allianz Arena are closer than ever before. Starting today, visitors can now use the FC Bayern App to bring our new murals in the concourse of our stadium to life. Dive deep into the first German championship in 1932 under then President Kurt Landauer or the historic treble of 2013 under Jupp Heynckes. Or feel the goosebumps of the iconic Oliver Kahn corner flag celebration in Hamburg and Arjen Robben’s historic Champions League winner at Wembley.
All these and more iconic moments can now be relived in video form at our stadium on your smartphones using the brand-new painted murals throughout the stadium, bringing to life the club’s history and giving everyone the “Mia San Mia” feeling.
This is all made possible via the Augmented Reality feature in the FC Bayern App, which is now available to all fans and users. To access the feature fans need to choose “AR-Arena” option from the menu which will activate the “FCB Camera.” Fans can then scan their mural of choice at the stadium which will activate the respective video and story. This is not the first Augmented Reality feature for the club. Last year fans had the ability to make their favorite players appear anywhere in the world as well as to customize their jersey of choice (more info HERE).
